A second-half goal from Messias was not enough to spark a Milan comeback as Torino secure an important three points at home against the Rossoneri. The visitors started the brighter but after Leao’s inability to finish two gilt-edged chances within the first five minutes, Juric’s side were allowed to settle and enact their own plan. A pair of goals in 120 seconds from Djidji and Miranchuk gave Pioli’s side a difficult hole to climb out of after the restart; a challenge they were unable to overcome despite a raft of attacking changes at the break. The loss is Milan’s second of the season and keeps them third, while Torino climb to ninth.
