Foden fired Guardiola’s team into the lead just after the half-hour mark, before a slice of good fortune saw Richarlison equalise five minutes later. After the break, the Citizens turned on the style, with second-half goals from Mahrez and Silva putting the game beyond Everton.

- 61'JUST WIDE! Foden’s in-swinging corner from the right is met by Rodrigo, but his close-range header fizzes beyond the far post. That was not too far away.
