Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano has taken a swipe at neighbours Manchester United, saying the Red Devils spend more for less success than his own club. Man City are considered one of the biggest spending and richest clubs in world football, and they have successfully leveraged that spending power into a trophy-laden recent history. At the same time, Manchester United's star has faded dramatically in the same time period, with them only able to qualify for the Europa League while City won the Premier League title for the fourth time in five years.
Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano says Erling Haaland will have to 'change' in order to succeed at the Premier League champions. City won the race to sign the brilliant 21-year-old from Borussia Dortmund this summer, snapping him up after activating the £51million release clause in his contract. Haaland has been prolific in Germany and will fill the void left by Sergio Aguero, who left last summer before retiring due to a heart condition. "We are sure Haaland will work at City," Soriano told Catalan radio station RAC1.
FIFA informed the 2026 Cincy Local Organizing Committee (LOC) via a letter that host cities would be announced June 16.
