Celtic edge out Betis 3-2 in a thriller. The first half was a sedate affair considering what was to follow. The hosts quickly took the lead when Welsh headed in Abada's corner, and they held their lead going into the break despite chances for the visitors. However, the game burst into life on 69 minutes. First, Iglesias fired a dangerous strike that forced an own goal from Bain. But then Celtic immediately regained the lead through a Henderson tap-in, only for Betis to equalise instantly through Iglesias. The scoring flurry didn't end there though, as Turnbull scored the fourth goal in 10 minutes from the spot, to make it 3-2. From there, Juanmi wasted a glorious chance to level when he hit the bar from close range and Celtic held on for an impressive win.
