This Is Why You Recognize the Cast of 'Killing Eve'

Killing Eve centers around two women: Eve, a somewhat disheveled MI5 agent, and Villanelle, a hired assassin with a flair for the theatrical and a love of over-the-top designer clothes. The plot focuses on their mutual obsession with one another, and chronicles every strategic move in their cat-and-mouse hunt. But the series also features a vivid cast of characters that help to flesh out the drama and provide some levity in a show centered around a serial killer. Here, Killing Eve's major players, plus, where you may have seen them before. (Fair warning, spoilers for season one and two ahead!)

Oh stars as the titular "Eve," a smart yet somewhat frumpy MI5 intelligence officer with a borderline unhealthy fascination with Villanelle, the female assassin she's tracking. While Eve's fate at the end of season two is uncertain, she's almost certain to return to the series for another chapter.

Where you've seen her: While Oh is best-known for playing Dr. Cristina Yang for ten seasons on Grey's Anatomy, her body of work is varied and includes roles in Sideways, Under the Tuscan Sun, American Crime, and Ramona and Beezus.

Eve's boss Carolyn Martens (played expertly by Fiona Shaw) tends towards sleek silhouettes and neutrals. And when she gets dressed up to flirt with her Russian friends, she stays true to that guiding impulse—albeit with a masterful touch of glamour.

Eve's co-worker Kenny, a skilled hacker, has deeper ties to Carolyn than were previously made known to Eve.

Where you've seen him: Delaney is a relative newcomer to acting, but before Killing Eve, he appeared in one episode of Midsomer Murders.

To say that Eve and her husband Niko have gone through a rough patch over the past two seasons, given her career (and her infatuation with Villanelle) is an understatement.

Where you've seen him: Some of McDonnell's best-known roles include Garda Sergeant Jack Driscoll in Single-Handed and Tom Connolly in An Klondike.

Konstantin is (or, well, was) Villanelle's handler, but they share more of a father-daughter relationship (with more guns that is).

Where you've seen him: Killing Eve has been Bondia's break out into shows with an English-speaking audience, but some of his previous work includes Pusher, Nightwatch, and Bron / Broen.

Hugo's fate at the end of season two remains unclear, but we're hoping that MI6's resident annoying rich kid will pull through.

Where you've seen him: A Discovery of Witches fans will recognize him as Marcus Whitmore; Sex Education viewers can spot him in a few episodes as Sean Wiley.
