The General Election 2019 campaign trail in pictures

Leaders from the UK’s political parties are currently hopping around the country to galvanise support ahead of the December 12 general election.

Boris Johnson has hit the road around Britain as he aims to stay in Downing Street, while Labour’s Jeremy Corbyn and the Liberal Democrats’ Jo Swinson, along with the SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon and the Brexit Party’s Nigel Farage, are also meeting voters nationwide.

There has been the usual array of well-choreographed press calls involving leaders holding babies, pulling pints and a variety of photogenic events inbetween.

Here’s our round-up of the best images from the campaign trail so far.
