As we finally leave 2017 behind (buh-bye!), let’s start 2018 on a happy note … or numerous happy notes. Cupid was working his magic over the holidays as countless celebs had baby news, engagement news, wedding news, or other romantic moments to share as we closed out the old year and brought in the new. Need a little optimism to start your new year out right? Read on to find out who rang in 2018 with baubles, bumps, babies, and more!

Paris Hilton

It’s official — Paris Hilton, hotel heiress and DJ extraordinaire, is off the market! Actor Chris Zylka popped the question while the two were away on a ski trip in Aspen. “I am so excited to be engaged to the love of my life and my best friend,” Hilton told People mag. “I have never felt so happy, safe and loved. He is perfect for me in every way and showed me that fairytales really do exist!” Can’t wait to see her wedding dress — and the guest list! (Photo: Paris Hilton via Twitter)

Jessica Alba

Talk about a New Year’s gift! Actress and Honest Company CEO Jessica Alba welcomed her third child with husband Cash Warren — just in time to close out 2017. Welcome baby boy Hayes Alba Warren to the world! “Best gift to ring in the New Year!!” Alba wrote on Instagram. “Cash and I feel so blessed. Haven and Honor are already obsessed with their new baby bro.” (Photo: Jessica Alba via Instagram)

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith

Can you believe it’s been 20 years since Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith tied the knot? The two famously married on New Year’s Eve in 1997. To celebrate two decades together, Will took to Instagram to share insights on what it takes to be married for so long — and offer appreciation for his wife. He finished the post with a declaration: “Happy Anniversary, My Queen! I am forever Devoted to Nurturing your Deepest Truth.” Wow! (Photo: Will Smith via Instagram)

America Ferrera

The actress/activist and her husband, actor and director Ryan Piers Williams, took to Instagram to make it official: They’re expecting! “We’re welcoming one more face to kiss in 2018,” Ferrara wrote alongside a photo in which she’s holding a onesie that reads, “Mas Besos (Por Favor).” Translation? More kisses, please! (Photo: America Ferrera via Instagram)

Alexa Ray Joel

The daughter of singer Billy Joel and model Christie Brinkley kicked off her new year with a stellar engagement to fiancé Ryan Gleason — and a stunning engagement ring! On Instagram, Joel wrote, “He said to me: ‘Before I met you, my world was in black and white. You colored it in between the lines.’ It was the most beautiful thing anybody’s ever said to me. How could I possibly say no to that?!?!” Mom and dad are pretty happy about the news, too. (Photo: Alexa Rae Joel via Instagram)

Jamie Lynn Spears

On Christmas Eve, the singer (and Britney’s little sister) announced she and her husband, Jamie Watson, are expecting their first child together “Looks like we are starting off 2018 with another big milestone … sooo happy to announce that Maddie is FINALLY going to be a big sister,” Spears posted to Instagram, along with a sweet family photo in which there’s definitely a noticeable baby bump. “2018 is going to be filled with many milestones both personally and professionally,” Spears promises. Jana Kramer

While it looked like singer and actress Jana Kramer and her husband, NFL player Mike Caussin, were headed for splitsville, the duo chose instead to regroup, repair, and rekindle. Revealing a picture from their vow renewal in December, Kramer shared with Instagram that 2017 was a rough year that broke her heart. “I have NO clue what 2018 has in store for me but I’ve never been more ready to live day by day and enjoy each day as it comes at me. Here’s to always believing in love and fighting for it,” she wrote, adding, “2018, I’m ready for you!” (Photo: Jana Kramer via Instagram)

Meghan Trainor

The singer didn’t just have an amazing holiday gift — her engagement to her boyfriend, actor Daryl Sabara, was a birthday gift too! Sabara surprised Trainor with a ring as the two walked through a tunnel of Christmas lights. (She really loves Christmas lights.) “I’m still in shock,” Trainor wrote. “I’ve never been this happy! Thank you Daryl, my family and friends for making me feel like a real princess.” The two have been dating since July 2016. (Photo: Meghan Trainor via Instagram)

Maria Menounos

Maria Menounos officially won New Year’s Eve by getting married to her fiancé, Keven Undergaro, on live TV. The duo, who have been together for 20 years, made it official in the middle of Menounos’s hosting duties on Fox’s New Year’s Eve broadcast — and her co-host, Steve Harvey, officiated the wedding. The whole thing came together in just two weeks. “I really truly believe that it’s taken us this long [to get married] because of the pressures of putting a wedding together,” Menounos told People mag. “I’ve always wanted it to be super intimate and even though this is the opposite, we can only invite our immediate family, so the pressure of who to invite is gone. This was just so perfect.”(Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for MM)

Pete Wentz

Throwing his hat into the baby announcement ring is Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, who called on his children, Bronx and Saint, to help make the declaration via Instagram with an adorable pink gift signifying it’s a girl! “We’re kicking the year off with news of the best gift yet: coming to our family in 2018…” he wrote. Congrats to him and his girlfriend, Meagan Camper!

Eva Longoria

Though news of the actress’s pregnancy had already hit the news by the holidays, we got an up-close and personal look at her bump thanks to Instagram on New Year’s Day. Clad in a red plaid shirt that defines the word “cozy,” Longoria’s burgeoning belly is covered with hands alongside the caption, “New year, new adventures! I’m so grateful to my beautiful family for giving this new baby so much love already!” (Photo: Eva Longoria via Instagram)

Natasha Bedingfield

What better way to cement your status as a new mom than by getting it emblazoned on a Starbucks cup? That’s how the singer celebrated the birth of her baby boy, which she shared in an Instagram post featuring her still in the hospital, brandishing that famous cup. “Omg! Guess what just happened at the very end of this year!” she wrote. “The happiest new Year ever!” Congrats to her and hubby Matthew Robinson. (Photo: Natasha Bedingfield via Instagram)

Brian McKnight

The singer rang the New Year in right by tying the knot with Leilani Mendoza — and sharing the evidence on social media. After getting engaged in September, the two married at Oheka Castle in Long Island with Mendoza wearing a gorgeous wedding dress featuring 50,000 Swarovski crystals. Very simple. With captions like, “Happiest day of our lives” and references to his “beautiful wife,” McKnight’s wedding glee melts even the hardest of hearts. (Photo: Brian McKnight via Instagram)

Joely Fisher

Also in the anniversary club is actress Joely Fisher, who celebrated her 21st with her husband, cinematographer Christopher Duddy, on New Year’s Eve. “The secret to a marriage this long in HOLLYWOOD (or anywhere) you don’t get divorced! I stole that from GEORGE Harrison,” Fisher wrote in her caption. She went on to explain the ups and downs of marriage, and what it takes to stick together — which she boiled down to “mutual respect, hysterical laughter, knowing when to walk away and when to firmly plant yourself into the ground and stand shoulder to shoulder.” Congrats to the happy couple! Coco Austin and Ice-T

Also in the longtime love club are Coco Austin and Ice-T, who just celebrated 17 years together! To mark the occasion, Coco shared a pic of her and her beloved strolling down the beach (with Austin in a teeny bikini, of course) along with their beloved dogs. “17 years still going strong,” Austin wrote. “Happy Anniversary to the love of my life. You made me a happy wife. For always and forever!” She also added, “We got some crazy outfits.. Hehe.” In case you weren’t clear on that. (Photo: Coco Austin via Instagram)

Daniella Monet

The actress and singer kicked off her Christmas with an engagement ring from boyfriend Andrew Gardner, whom she’d been dating for six years. Accompanying a photo of herself blindfolded, Monet told Instagram, “I thought I was going to open my eyes and see our bikes parked on the driveway. I was wrong. #engaged” Gardner popped the question by carving the words “Marry Me?” into a tree.

Matt Bellamy

The Muse frontman rang in the new year right — with an engagement to his girlfriend, model Elle Evans. Evans shared the news on Instagram, along with a photo of the couple horseback riding hand in hand on the beach in Fiji. “Just a few days after my birthday, on the most romantic holiday of our lives, the man of my dreams asked me to marry him,” Evans wrote. “After tears of joy, gasps of shock, and a split second of disbelief, of course- I said YES! I can’t imagine our lives apart.” The two have been dating since 2015. (Photo: Elle Evans via Instagram)
