Canada earns 2nd gold with McKeever's miraculous comeback on Day 5

Para-Nordic skier Brian McKeever recovered from an early crash to win his second gold of the Sochi Paralympics – and the ninth gold of his illustrious career – in the men's 1km sprint. Canada's Kimberly Joines won a silver in the women's sit-ski slalom, though her result could be bumped down to a bronze, depending on the outcome of an appeal. Canada has eight medals through five days of competition. The tally will be nine once Joines' result is official.
