Cannes Film Festival is underway, and it’s already shaping up to be a headline-hitting affair.
The proceedings kicked off May 8 with a look at the jury, which for the first time is predominantly female. Heavyweight
Cate Blanchett is chairing the jury, which includes Twilight star Kristen Stewart and French actress Léa Seydoux.
Other iconic women who will be deciding which films go home with accolades are
Selma director Ava DuVernay and Burundian songwriter Khadja Nin.
The Cannes festival is always a glamorous event. With red carpet appearances from the likes of Penélope Cruz,
Lupita Nyong’o, and Carey Mulligan on tap, fans will be treated to an abundance of sartorial prowess.
