2014 Sochi athlete spotlight - Aja Evans

Aja Evans blasted onto the scene in her rookie season by scoring 794 out of a possible 800 points on the combine test, winning the 2012 U.S. National Push Championship title, and breaking the start record with driver Jamie Greubel in 2012-2013 team selection races.

Evans comes from a family of talented athletes. Her brother, Fred, is the Vikings' defensive tackle, her uncle is Gary Matthews, who is the former hitting coach of the Chicago Cubs , and her cousin is major league baseball player Gary Matthews Jr.

Evans was just named a member of the 2013-2014 women’s bobsled US national team. She will compete in Sochi with a talented squad including track and field star Lolo Jones.
