If Ilya Kovalchuk's(notes) highlight-reel blooper was the "$100 million shootout fail", then can what Dustin Brown(notes) of the Los Angeles Kings did tonight considered the "$19.05 million shootout fail"?

With the Boston Bruins clawing back from a 3-0 deficit to force a shootout, Brown had the game on his stick during Los Angeles' third attempt with either team yet to tally. The result was, let's just say, not memorable for the Kings' captain:

Despite Brown's blown tire, Los Angeles would get the last laugh as Michal Handzus(notes) finally scored in the sixth round of the shootout to give the Kings a 4-3 win over Boston.

Elsewhere in bloopers around the NHL tonight, Buffalo Sabres goaltender Patrick Lalime(notes), who was subbing in for an injured Ryan Miller(notes), made a splendid pass to Adam Hall(notes) to set up the game winning goal for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the second period. Only problem was that Hall was wearing the opposite colors.

After the game, Lalime didn't blame a rolling puck for the mishap, just that it was a bad pass in an attempt to fool Hall. The Lightning forward has averaged three goals a season over the past five years, none of which likely came as easy as that one ... despite Hall having to work for it.

And of course, how could we forget Mike Komisarek's(notes) beautiful cross-ice pass to set up a Mike Cammalleri one-timer during Montreal's 2-0 shutout of Toronto:
