    Lions lock up first rounders, kick in with second Alabama-Birmingham alum

    The B.C. Lions announced this morning that their two first-round CFL Draft selections, receiver Danny Vandervoort (third overall) and defensive lineman Junior Luke (seventh), have signed with the club. No other details were announced for the pair, who starred for the McMaster University and the Universite de Montreal, respectively. As well, the Lions announced that they have inked American kicker/punter Ty Long and American offensive lineman Aaron Epps to contracts. Long, 24, originally signed with the Washington Redskins as an undrafted free agent in May 2015 and spent time with the NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers in 2016.  The Roswell, Ga., native was a kicking specialist in college at Alabama-Birmingham,
