Young Bulls enter second half of league phase
Away at Feyenoord's youngsters
The first half of our league phase campaign in the UEFA Youth League is over and our Young Bulls can be very content with their position around the top of the table after a perfect start with three wins out of three! Our boys have one foot in the knockout stage, and further points this Wednesday 6 November (14:00 CET) in Rotterdam could see Daniel Beichler's boys confirm their spot in the knockout stages! There is no coincidence in the results so far, which have been the deserved consequence of some extremely dominant performances, that make us look forward to our upcoming fixtures.
There was one disappointment resulting from our home win against Dinamo Zagreb - Zeteny Jano, who led out Young Bulls onto the pitch as captain, is suspended against Feyenoord after picking up a red card in the final stages. Our coach can otherwise take a free pick from a full squad against Pascal Bosschaart's young Feyenoord side!
Our upcoming opponents have not enjoyed as good a start to the Youth League as we have. After a 1-2 defeat at home to Leverkusen, Feyenoord suffered two 0-2 away defeats against Girona and Benfica. The Dutch youngsters have shown a different face in their domestic under-21 league though, in which most of the Youth League players are active. The Rotterdam side are at the top of the pack in that despite having two games in hand.

We are expecting to face very good opponents. They don't have any points yet, but if you look at their individual matches, you can see they were a match for all their opponents - and all three games could have gone differently. The fact of the matter is all of Feyenoord's opponents so far have seven points - so are strong teams. We know from experience that you don't get any points for free in this competition - you always have to perform to a really good level. That is our aim - to put in a really good performance and win the game with our own strengths. We will need a performance that is just as good as in the first three games.
