After years of waiting, 'College GameDay' is finally headed to Washington State
For years, fans have seen the crimson Washington State flag flying in the background at “College GameDay.”
No matter where in the country the famous ESPN college football pregame show was, that flag was always flying high in the background. Yet “College GameDay” has never been to Washington State’s campus in Pullman to actually cover a Cougars game in person.
That is, until now.
ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit announced on Saturday night that the GameDay crew will be headed to Pullman, Washington, next Saturday for the first time in history for Washington State’s matchup against No. 17 Oregon.

“There’s only one place for College GameDay to go,” Herbstreit said. “Oregon at Washington State, we will see you in Pullman.”
Ol’ Crimson, which made its first appearance in 2003 on the show, took the news well.
Is it dusty in here? I'm not crying, you're crying… We're coming home to Pullman! #uglyflagtears #wavetheflag https://t.co/DbcPEGcPQJ

The Cougars are definitely deserving of the show, too. While unranked, Washington State is 5-1 and its only loss came to USC. The Ducks, fresh off their overtime win against No. 7 Washington, should provide an entertaining matchup.
Get ready, Washington State. “College GameDay” is finally coming to your city.
