The Wizards deleted a tweet of John Wall's Team USA picture because people kept roasting it
As one of the 35 players in the stocked pool of talent from which USA Basketball will select rosters for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2020 Summer Olympics, Washington Wizards point guard John Wall made the trek out to Las Vegas for this week’s Team USA minicamp, helmed by new national team head coach Gregg Popovich. As the players and coaches began showing up for the festivities on Wednesday, part of the process included posing for various photos and portraits.
The Wizards, excited at the increased visibility for their five-time All-Star franchise focal point, quickly shared Wall’s new Team USA photo from their team Twitter account on Thursday afternoon …
… only to find out that, well, some people had some notes on how the snapshot came out. Nothing too big, really: it’s just that the photo had some problems, dude.
who let this picture happen? my dude out here like he about to ask me for a cig. https://t.co/HVH9YlB9If

when listening to the "taught me how to be a Wizard" joke for the 1,004th time finally catapults you beyond the pale of sanity and into a sort of Quantum Brain Realm in which all you can think of is the pure light and warmth of the one true god that lives within all of us pic.twitter.com/y2iOafsRyl

And, maybe, filters? Like, perhaps just toss a quick Valencia on there.
SCOOP: John Wall is in my apartment right now watching Blue Planet II and annihilating a bag of pepperoni Combos.

It is possible, and in fact likely, that this is less a “John Wall is falling apart” issue and more a “something is up with this photo session” matter:

Even so: the Wizards deleted their tweet. That ought to do the trick. As we all know, removing the source material always stops people from making jokes online.
UPDATE: Wall is now aware of the roasting, thanks in large part to the roasting coming from inside his house:
Because I'm a very serious jorunalist I asked John Wall about the trending picture. He said he hasn't been on twitter today but saw the photo earlier.
'I sent it to my mom and said it looks like I just got to jail.'
