The situation occurred after Gabriel and Wolves defenseman Vince Dunn had each received fighting majors at the 17:09 mark of the third period.

The two appeared to be trash talking as they walked back to their locker rooms before Gabriel walked over to Dunn and instigated yet another fight between the two. Players and security personnel then ran over to try to break them up.

Gabriel was not allowed to play in the team’s Sunday game as the AHL tried to figure out a course of action, which counted towards the suspension. Dunn did not receive supplemental discipline on the play.
