Wide receiver Dylan Wright no longer with TCU football program
Wide receiver Dylan Wright is no longer with TCU football’s program, the Star-Telegram learned on Saturday.
Wright wasn’t present during pregame warmups or on the sidelines during the first quarter of TCU’s Big 12 rivalry game vs. Baylor. Wright transferred to TCU last season after two seasons at Minnesota and two with Texas A&M.
Wright played in just seven games last season with 11 receptions, 187 yards and two touchdowns including a 23-yard score in his debut game against Colorado. Wright suffered a season-ending injury against Texas Tech on Nov. 2, 2023 that kept him out the rest of the season.
While optimistic for a bigger role in 2024, Wright played just four snaps this season according to Pro Football Focus. Wright dealt with more injuries and also fell behind on the depth chart behind Savion Williams, Eric McAlister and Jack Bech.
Wright is still listed on the TCU roster.
