Yahoo Sports Is this why Matty Healy and Taylor Swift broke up?
Taylor Swift and Matty Healy's relationship has reportedly come to an end as quickly as it started, as rumours claim they've gone their separate ways.
The pair broke the internet in May after it was rumoured that they were dating. The romance speculation came just weeks after the 33-year-old announced her split from actor boyfriend Joe Alwyn, who she'd been with for six years.
According to an Entertainment Tonight source at the time, "Taylor and Matty like each other... Taylor has a crush on Matty and they are having a good time hanging out."
"Matty also thinks Taylor is awesome and incredibly talented," they added, before revealing that the pair reconnected thanks to a mutual friend, musician, Jack Antonoff. They were then been spotted on a number of public dates in New York, while Matty has been photographed in the crowd at Taylor's Eras tour gigs.
But sadly, it wasn't to be - breakup reports first surfaced on the 4th June 2023, with an insider then claiming to know the real reason for their split.
"Taylor and Matty broke up," another Entertainment Tonight source said. "They are both extremely busy and realised they're not really compatible with each other. Taylor's friends want what's best for her and aren't shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship."
Another source added that she's "adjusting to the single life" and "isn’t dating anybody and isn’t even thinking about getting into another relationship anytime soon."
