Anybody who’s played in a fantasy league knows you can’t have a draft without having a list of sleepers — either queued up in your head or jotted down somewhere. So when we hit Major League Baseball spring training in Arizona we wanted to know, from actual baseball players, who’s going to be a great fantasy baseball sleeper in 2017?

We asked Kris Bryant and Javy Baez of the Chicago Cubs, Dan Otero of the Indians and, for good measure, we asked some fans, because they also know what’s up. One thing you’ll notice: Their definition of a “sleeper” might not be the same as a fantasy expert. But that’s OK.

If your draft is this weekend, you’d still be wise to consult a sleeper list and rankings from Yahoo Sports’ fantasy experts. But it’s probably not a bad idea to listen to Kris Bryant either.

Now go sign up for fantasy baseball if you haven’t yet.
