WHL Roundup: Ty Lewis with five points as Wheat Kings down Pats 8-1

BRANDON, Man. — Ty Lewis had two goals and three assists as the Brandon Wheat Kings beat the Regina Pats 8-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Stelio Mattheos and Cole Reinhardt also scored twice while Rylan Bettens and Connor Gutenberg had the others for the Wheat Kings (1-0-0).

Braydon Buziak scored for the Pats (0-1-0).

Logan Thompson kicked out 33 shots for Brandon. Max Paddock combined with Tyler Brown for 37 saves for Regina.

The Wheat Kings went 3 for 5 on the power play. The Pats went 1 for 5 with the man advantage.

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. — Brody Willms made 21 saves as Moose Jaw downed the Prince Raiders.

Brayden Burke scored the game-winning goal for the Warriors (1-0-0) at 6:36 of the second period, with Justin Almeida and Jett Woo also finding the back of the net.

Nicholas Sanders combined with Ian Scott for 37 saves for Prince Albert.
