After a breathless couple of weeks in Champions League play, European soccer's attention returns to domestic campaigns. Manchester United seek to halt their neighbours title procession and the race for the Premier League top four becomes ever more intriguing. Here's what you need to know.

Liverpool vs. Chelsea

Thursday March 4 at 3:15 p.m. ET | Live stream

At the start of the season, no one would have called this as a crunch fixture in the battle for Champions League qualification spots but Liverpool's title charge crumbled with four straight losses in February. The Reds welcome a reinvigorated Chelsea, who finally look like a viable combination of their many talented parts under new coach Thomas Tuchel. The German bench boss and his fellow countryman Jurgen Klopp are both former managers of Borussia Dortmund so this matchup will be a fascinating tactical test.

Manchester City vs. Manchester United

Sunday March 7 at 11:30 a.m. ET | Live stream

Realistically, the blue half of Manchester already has one hand on the Premier League trophy but United won't want to roll over for their noisy neighbours. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer described the dismal scoreless draw with City in December as the "best performance we have had" in a derby since the Norwegian took charge at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer has somehow managed to guide the Red Devils to a potential second place finish despite his side's consistent inconsistency. Meanwhile, City has turned a turbulent start to the season into a procession toward the title and it would be surprising if Guardiola's charges didn't breach their opponents defense at least once this time round.

Chelsea vs. Everton

Monday March 8 at 1:00 p.m. ET | Live stream

Everton's first win at Anfield in 22 years stopped a mini slide and just about kept the Toffees in the race for the top four. The Merseyside derby victory gives further credence to the belief that manager Carlo Ancelotti is turning Everton into a club who can compete for European spots on the regular.

On Monday, the Italian once again returns to Stamford Bridge, where he coached Chelsea to a league title a decade ago. When he did so for the first time as Everton boss last season, a then Frank Lampard led Chelsea demolished his side 4-0. However, a lot has changed since then and with the stakes so high, this match will be more hotly contested.
