For the second time in three weeks, one of the United States’ young stars scored a game-winning Champions League goal for his club.

Weston McKennie rose up over two defenders and drove home a header to score his first goal for FC Schalke 04 and lift the club past Lokomotiv Moscow 1-0 on Tuesday in Group D action.

The 20-year-old American midfielder earned all three points for Schalke, which gave a good account of itself on the road but had nothing to show for it late in the match.

Check out McKennie’s goal, off a corner by teammate Yevhen Konoplyanka, for yourself:

Fifteen days ago, McKennie’s assist helped the German side salvage a draw against FC Porto in its Champions League opener, and now Schalke sits atop the group, with Galatasaray playing later in the afternoon.

On the same day as Schalke’s draw, Christian Pulisic scored the winner in Borussia Dortmund’s maiden Champions League match this season, and with both players figuring to anchor the USMNT for years to come, the future appears to be in good hands.
