Texas Rangers open Globe Life Field for World Series Game 5 watch party

Texas Rangers fans have an opportunity to watch their team in Arlington clinch the World Series title.

While Game 5 will be played Wednesday night in Phoenix, the Rangers have opened up Globe Life Field in Arlington for fans to watch the game on the big screen.

The Rangers lead the Arizona Diamondbacks 3-1 in the best-of-seven series. If they win Wednesday, the team will clinch its first championship in franchise history.

While tickets to a World Series home game can cost as much as a mortgage payment, watch party tickets are selling for as little as $10 a pop.

Roughly 5,000 fans were on hand at Globe Life Field for Game 7 of the ALCS. The team originally planned for around 2,000, but had to open more sections during the game to accommodate the larger crowd

The club opened more seating ahead of Game 5.

Seating is based on a first come, first served basis, and the team will have the main and upper concourse levels open for fans.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. and first pitch will be around 7:03 p.m.
