Watch Penn State men’s basketball fans storm the court after Nittany Lions defeat No. 8 Purdue

Penn State men’s basketball scored a big victory Thursday night against No. 8 Purdue, with fans storming the court to celebrate the 81-70 win.

Despite being 1.5-point favorites to defeat Purdue at home, Penn State students and fans had plenty of reason to celebrate after the biggest game so far this season and the start of conference play. It’s also the first top-10 win for Penn State men’s basketball since 2019.

Penn State men’s basketball head coach Mike Rhoades urged fans to show up and “sweat with us” as his team prepared to take on the Boilermakers.

The Nittany Lions are now 8-1 this season, the second led by Rhoades. They’ll next face Rutgers on the road on Tuesday.
