Watch: Oklahoma softball player knocks over Royals catcher with her pitches

Good luck catching Oklahoma pitcher Paige Parker (AP)

It’s safe to say Oklahoma junior softball pitcher Paige Parker can throw some heat.

That fact was apparent after helping the Sooners lock up their second-straight NCAA Women’s College World Series earlier this month. But she solidified how dominant her pitches are when she nearly knocked over Kansas City Royals catcher Drew Butera.

Parker was warming up with Butera prior to throwing out the first pitch at Kauffman Stadium on June 20 when the Royals took on the Boston Red Sox. The Royals backup catcher definitely got a shock from Parker’s pitch, knocking him back into the netting.

The 33-year-old was a good sport on Twitter once Oklahoma released the video of the Sooners ace showing her arsenal of pitches.

Over her three seasons at Oklahoma, Parker has posted a 1.58 ERA with a 92-15 record. In 133 appearances, she has 755 strikeouts while only walking 172.

Parker said that throwing out the first pitch at Kauffman Stadium was a dream come true.

And if you’re a MLB catcher, you better be careful. Paige Parker is a baller.
