Watch Broncos' Jordan Taylor make Odell Beckham-esque catch (Video)

Training-camp heroes can come and go, but when players make highlights of this caliber it makes you think they might have a chance to stick.

Check out the insane grab by Denver Broncos wide receiver Jordan Taylor on Friday on a pass from Mark Sanchez in the video above. Admit it: That’s about as close to the original Odell Beckham Jr. catch as one can get. The fact that Taylor opened up his body to the inside down the right sideline and then catch the darned thing with his inside (right) hand is pretty wild.

Of course, Beckham also had to have his own crazy play a few times zones east of there. After all, he’s the originator — perhaps he heard the buzz on the kid in Denver. Watch Beckham’s effort, also from Friday:

Brilliant stuff. From both guys.

So who is Taylor? You might remember him as Peyton Manning’s throwing-session buddy when Manning was coming back from his foot injury and Taylor was on the Broncos’ practice squad last season.

Although he’s never played in a regular-season game, the 6-foot-5 Taylor — who with his flowing blonde hair is nicknamed “Sunshine” from “Remember The Titans” — has a chance to stick this season if he can edge out Cody Latimer, Jordan Norwood or Bennie Fowler for a spot. Taylor’s nickname alone (even if he likely hates being called it by now) puts him in lofty company.

And his buddy Manning might be retired now, but Taylor making sick catches like the one he did on Friday can’t hurt his chances of making the team out of training camp.
