Vladimir Guerrero Jr. makes a young fan's day with quick photo op

Part of life as a big leaguer is taking some time to put a smile on the face of the younger generation of fans that come out to the ballpark to take in the games.

Just a quick 30 second interaction can make a lifelong memory for a fan, whether it be an autograph or a selfie or a quick wave hello.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has famously been around major league ballparks his whole life, and his actions tell the story of a young star that knows how powerful those moments can be.

Prior to the Toronto Blue Jays game on Sunday in Detroit, Guerrero stepped up and made the day of a youngster sitting front row by going above and beyond, scooping up the little girl for a photo op.

Props to Lourdes Gurriel Jr. for bringing the kid to Vladdy’s attention, and to Guerrero for running over to say some quick hellos.

There’s more to being the star and face of a franchise than just the numbers a player puts up on the field, and the Blue Jays look like they’re in good hands with the one they’re building around.
