Video shows the moment Cowboys coach John Fassel’s heart broke on blocked punt mistake
The Dallas Cowboys suffered an absolute special teams fiasco on Monday night at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Cowboys managed to block a Bengals punt late in the fourth quarter to set up a seismic swing for Dallas in the game.
However, nobody on the Cowboys managed to grab the football after the block. It was recovered by the Bengals, who inexplicably regained possession to keep their drive alive.
A game-winning touchdown would soon follow, which made this atrocious sequence hurt even worse for Dallas.
Dallas special teams coach John Fassel lived an entire life watching all of this unfold, his joy at the block slowly fading into shock that his team didn't come up with the ball. This reaction must be seen to be believed.
Poor guy. How in the world did the Cowboys botch this?
