The Ottawa Charge traded their first ever first round pick in Savannah Harmon, and their first ever goal scorer in Hayley Scamurra in exchange for Jocelyne Larocque and Victoria Bach.

The team hoped to get tougher, and felt like they saw an opportunity to change the look of their roster. General Manager Mike Hirshfeld discussed the complexity of the trade and the people he traded, and people they returned in exchange.
