TORONTO — Patrick Husbands rode 24/1 longshot British Royalty to a record-setting win Sunday in the $400,000 Breeders' Stakes turf race at Woodbine Racetrack.

Husbands captured a record fifth win in the 1 1/2-mile event as British Royalty emerged victorious in two minutes 34 seconds on a yielding turf.

Riptide Rock was second in the 12-horse field with Collective Force taking third in the final jewel of the OLG Canadian Triple Crown.

Wando was the last horse to win the Canadian Triple Crown in 2003.
