Vancouver Whitecaps 2-2 LA Galaxy: Manneh stunner saves point at home

The Vancouver Whitecaps went behind twice but fough back both times to draw 2-2 with th LA Galaxy, a week after losing to the SoCal side.

Stefan Ishizaki gave the visitors the lead before halftime, finishing a well-worked Galaxy move with a snap header.

The Whitecaps pulled level in the 66th minute. A defensive miscue saw Leonardo fail to clear a ball and Jaime Penedo miss when he came out to collect, and Darren Mattocks punced to shoot home from a tight angle and equalize.

The Galaxy took the lead again in the 77th, and it was last game's hero, Robbie Keane, who did the honors. Rob Friend headed a long, high pass down to the Irishman's feet, and Keane scored to make it 2-1.

Kekuta Manneh didn't let that lead stand for too long, equalizing less than 10 minutes later with an excellent strike from the edge of the penalty area that gave Penedo no chance.

The Whitecaps now have a 2-2-3 record, and send a two-game losing skid. The Galaxy are 2-1-2, undefeated in their last four matches.
