Urho Vaakanainen Set To Play For Team Finland At The 4 Nations Face-Off

New York Rangers defenseman Urho Vaakanainen has been added to the Team Finland roster for the 4 Nations Face-Off as an injury replacement for defenseman Miro Heiskanen.

The Rangers acquired Vaakanainen on Dec. 6 from the Anaheim Ducks, in a trade that included the team’s former captain Jacob Trouba.

Through 21 games with the Rangers, the 26-year-old has recorded five points while averaging 15:16 minutes.

Vaakanainen was selected in the first round of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins, but has spent the past few years in Anaheim.

The other Rangers players set to participate in the 4 Nations Face-Off include Adam Fox, Vincent Trocheck, J.T. Miller, Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad.
