Man jailed 3 years for impersonating Conor McGregor while dealing drugs

We've been blessed with tales of many celebrity lookalikes over the years, but not too many of them have used their striking resemblance of a famous figure as a way to drive profits for their drug-dealing operation.

Mark Nye, as we’ve learned, isn’t like most people. The 34-year-old was arrested after being pulled over by police in Stanwell, England while trying to rid himself of illegal drugs and two mobile phones, the Irish Post reports.

The police’s search of Nye uncovered business cards with the name “McGregor Enterprise” on them which he used to help prop up his business. Additionally, the cards claimed that Fake Conor had the “Best drops in Surrey.” The police also found boric acid, a substance typically used to cut drugs, and a meat cleaver in his possession. The Englishman was sentenced to three years in prison on April 9.

As for the real Notorious One, he is set to fight Dustin Poirier on July 10. McGregor recently rejected Porier’s offer to have both competitors fight at 170 lbs. Instead, the fight will happen with both men at 155 lbs.
