UFC Hidalgo Gate and Attendance Among Lowest of the Year
The Ultimate Fighting Championship went to the Texas/Mexico boarder for UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Johnson in Hidalgo, Texas.
While several of the fights delivered in the excitement category, particularly the final two bouts, the lack of marquee names amounted to a lackluster draw. The card pulled in 5,624 fans to State Farm Arena, amassing a live gate of $323,419. Both figures are amongst the lowest of the year for the UFC.
