UFC on Fuel 2 Gate and Attendance: ‘We'll Be Back'

All 24 UFC on Fuel TV 2 Fighters Drug Tested

Ultimate Fighting Championship officials loaded up the UFC on Fuel TV 2: Gustafsson vs. Silva fight card in Stockholm with fighters from Switzerland and surrounding countries, and it paid off.

UFC on Fuel TV 2 drew a crowd of 15,428 for a $2.23 million gate, according to the UFC president Dana White.

“I love this market and we'll be back as soon as possible,” he added.

Alexander Gustafsson, fighting on his home turf, continued to draw comparisons to UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, taking the fight to Thiago Silva.

He dropped Silva early on in the fight, but couldn’t put the tenacious Brazilian away, instead scoring a unanimous decision from the judges. Of his 14 victories, it marked the first time in Gustafsson’s career that he had to go to the judges to find out if he won.

Former Marine Brian Stann took the honors in the co-main event, knocking Alessio Sakara out midway through the first round of their fight.
