The bantamweights measured each other for the first minute of the fight, only engaging in brief flurries. It wasn't until Lineker landed a right hand that rocked McDonald that the fight changed.

Rattled, McDonald attempted to fight back, but Lineker dropped him with strikes two more times. McDonald landed a few shots of his own and then appeared to get his wits back. However, it didn't last long.

Lineker delivered a left hook that snapped his opponent's head back and put his body to the canvas. After a couple more strikes on the ground, Lineker was pulled off McDonald and the fight was stopped.

During his post-fight interview, Lineker called out the UFC bantamweight champion as a way to let it be known he wants a title shot.

“Dominick Cruz, I'm coming for you, baby!” he exclaimed.

With the win, Lineker improves to 28-7 and extends his winning streak to five.
