Yahoo Sports UFC Fight Night 82 Medical Suspensions: Seven Fighters Could Be Out Six Months
Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson made a statement what his UFC Fight Night 82 destruction of former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks at UFC Fight Night 82, but could sidelined for six months with an ankle injury.
Five other athletes from the Feb. 6 fight card – Jared Rosholt, Ovince Saint Preux, Rafael Cavalcante, Josh Burkman and Diego Rivas – are also facing potential 180-day suspensions.
UFC Fight Night 82 took place on Feb. 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It was the promotion's fourth event in 2016.
UFC Fight Night: Hendricks vs. Thompson Medical Suspensions
Stephen Thompson: must have his right ankle x-rayed. If positive, he must be cleared by an orthopedic doctor or no contest until 8-7-2016. He received a minimum suspension of no contest until 3-8-2016 with no contact until 2-28-2016.
Johny Hendricks: suspended for 30 days with no contact until 2-28-2016.

Jared Rosholt: must have his left ankle x-rayed. If positive, he must be cleared by an orthopedic doctor or no contest until 8-7-2016. He received a minimum suspension of no contest until 3-8-2016 with no contact until 2-28-2016.
Roy Nelson: suspended for 30 days with no contact until 2-28-2016.
Rafael Cavalcante: must have right eye cleared by ophthalmologist or no contest until 08-07-16. He received a minimum suspension of no contest until 3-8-2016 with no contact until 2-28-2016.
Ovince Saint Preux: must have his right ankle x-rayed. If positive, he must be cleared by an orthopedic doctor or no contest until 8-7-2016. He received a minimum suspension of no contest until 3-8-2016 with no contact until 2-28-2016.
Joseph Benavidez: suspended until 3-23-2016 with no contact until 3-08-2016 for left eyebrow laceration.
Alex Nicholson: must have bilateral jaw fractures and broken nose cleared by an oral, maxillofacial doctor or no contest until 8-7-2016. He received a minimum suspension until 3-23-2016 with no contact until 3-08-2016 due to a left eyelid laceration.
Sean Spencer: suspended until 3-23-2016 with no contact until 3-08-2016.
K.J. Noons: suspended until 3-23-2016 with no contact until 3-08-2016 for finger laceration.
Josh Burkman: must have MRI on right shoulder and clearance by orthopedic doctor or no contest until 8-07-2016. He received a minimum suspension until 2-28-2016 with no contact until 2-21-2016.
Damian Grabowski: suspended until 3-23-2016 with no contact until 3-08-2016 for scalp laceration.
Ray Borg: suspended for 30 days with no contact until 2-28-2016.
Diego Rivas: must have both knees cleared by an orthopedic doctor or no contest until 8-07-2016.
Noad Lahat: suspended untl 4-07-2016 with no contact until 3-23-2016.
Artem Lobov: received a 30-day suspension with no contact until 2-28-2016 for laceration to left eyelid.
