UFC Fight Night 71 Medical Suspensions: Tony Ferguson Could Be Out for Six Months
UFC Fight Night 71 headliner Frank Mir escaped unscathed with a victory in his pocket and only a mandatory 7-day rest period suspension when the California State Athletic Commission released the suspensions to MMAWeekly.com on Monday.

Several other fighters weren’t so lucky.
Co-main event victor Tony Ferguson topped a list of nine fighters that could be sidelined up to six months, while several other fighters received 45 to 60-day suspensions.

Todd Duffee: Suspended for 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to knockout.
Tony Ferguson: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by an optical physician due to possible fracture to his right eye.
Josh Thomson: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to hard bout. Suspended for 60 days unless cleared by a physician due to facial lacerations. Suspended for 180 days unless cleared by a physician for right elbow, right knee, and right forearm.
Marion Reneau: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by a physician for possible fracture to right ribs.
Scott Jorgensen: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by a physician due to possible fracture to left knee.
Matt Dwyer: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to hard bout. Suspended 60 days unless cleared by a physician due to laceration to his left eye.
Sam Sicilia: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by orthopedic physician due to possible left lower leg injury.
Jessica Andrade: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by a physician due to possible fracture to her left thumb.
Sarah Moras: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to hard bout.
Rani Yahya: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by a physician for neuro (CT Scan).
Masanori Kanehara: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by orthopedic physician due to possible fracture to his right elbow.
Sean Strickland: Suspended 180 days unless cleared by a physician due to possible fracture to right third knuckle.
Igor Araujo: Suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days due to hard bout.
