UFC Fight Night 42 Fighter Bonuses: Henderson, Hallmann, Jorgensen and Martinez Bank $50,000

The Ultimate Fighting Championship released the fighter bonuses for UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Khabilov during the event's post-fight press conference on Saturday.  Benson Henderson, Piotr Hallmann, Scott Jorgensen and Danny Martinez took home $50,000 each for their performances inside Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque.

Fight of the Night honors went to preliminary fighters Scott Jorgensen and Danny Martinez.  Jorgensen utilized his wrestling to ground Martinez in the opening round, but was knocked down in the second frame and nearly finished.  He battled back from the adversity and finished the round strong.  In the final frame, Jorgensen secured takedowns to earn the unanimous decision win.

Former lightweight champion Benson Henderson was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus for his main event finish of Rustam Khabilov. After being taken down in the first three rounds and being behind on the scorecards, Henderson showed his championship character and stayed poised.  He delivered a combination that hurt Khabilov in the early going of the fourth round and quickly pounced on the Russian, took his back and locked up a rear-naked choke submission.

The other Performance of the Night bonus was awarded to Piotr Hallmann for his third-round submission of veteran Yves Edwards.  Hallmann controlled the fight.  As the rounds wore on, Edwards slowed and Hallmann took advantage.  After securing a takedown in the final frame, Hallmann took Edwards' back and  sunk in a rear-naked choke, forcing Edwards to tap out.
