UFC Fight Night 36 Drug Test Results: Lyoto Machida, Rest of Card Return Clean Results

The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission on Tuesday revealed that none of the fighters that were drug tested for UFC Fight Night 36: Machida vs. Mousasi returned positive results.

In other words, everyone passed.

UFC Fight Night 36 took place on Feb. 15 at Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Brazil, before a crowd of 7,511.

Lyoto Machida bested Gegard Mousasi in the night’s five-round middleweight main event, putting his name at the top of the list for probably championship challengers for the winner of the UFC 173 bout between current champion Chris Weidman and challenger Vitor Belfort.

Another top middleweight contender, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, won his co-main event fight with Francis Carmont, putting him a close second to Machida in the title shot running.

With Wediman vs. Belfort not taking place until late May, it is possible that Machida and Jacare could end up fighting each before either one is guaranteed a shot at the belt.
