UFC Fight Night 31 Gains Two Middleweight Bouts

UFC Fight for the Troops 3 has gained two middleweight match-ups.

Yoel Romero will face Ronny Markes at the Nov. 6 event in Fort Cambell, Kentucky, while Chris Camozzi takes on Lorenz Larkin.

UFC officials confirmed he additions on Thursday.

Romero (5-1) made his UFC debut on April 20, and it went as well as any debut could for the 38-year-old Cuban. He knocked out Clifford Starks early in the first round by a flying knee and follow-up strikes.

His opponent, Markes (14-1), is riding a seven-fight winning streak. He’s gone to a decision in all three of his fights in the UFC and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Andrew Craig on Jan. 19.

Camozzi (19-6) was on an impressive four-fight run in the UFC before accepting a fight with former Stikeforce middleweight champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza in his last outing. Souza submitted Camozzi, and the former The Ultimate Fighter cast member hopes to rebound from the loss and get back on track with the beginning of a new winning streak.

Larkin (13-1, 1 no contest) is looking for his first UFC win when he faces Camozzi. The 26-year-old fighter debuted in the Octagon on April 20, losing to Francis Carmont.

The event will be the fourth time the UFC has hosted an event on a U.S. military base with cooperation from the armed forces.
