UFC Albany Official Following Weigh-ins, Although One Fighter Missed Weight

Derrick Lewis Withstands Early Adversity to Land the Bomb on Marcin Tybura at UFC Austin

Saturday's UFC Fight Night 102: Lewis vs. Abdurakhimov is official following Thursday's early official weigh-in. Unlike other recent UFC events, Lewis vs. Abdurakhimov has only one weigh-in. There will be no ceremonial weigh-in for the event. The weigh-ins took place at the UFC fighter hotel in Albany, N.Y. The event takes place Friday at Times Union Center in Albany.

The UFC Fight Night 102 main event features heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Shamil Abdurakhimov, who both made weight, although Lewis bumped up against the upper end of the limit. Heavyweights have a limit of 265 pounds, but all UFC non-title bouts are allowed a one-pound allowance, and Lewis took advantage of it, stepping on the scale at 265.6 pounds. Abdurakhimov wasn't much less, as he weighed in at 253.8 pounds.

The only fighter to miss the mark was Justine Kish, who weighed 116.4 pounds for her 115-pound bout with Ashley Yoder. While the bout will continue as planned, Kish was required to give up 20-percent of her show purse to Yoder.
