UFC 198 Medical Suspensions: Few Suspensions, Despite Several Knockouts
There were several blistering finishes at UFC 198 on Saturday in Curitiba, Brazil, but despite the punishment doled out, there were few lengthy medical suspensions.
The only fighters to receive any longterm suspensions were Warlley Alves and Yancy Medeiros, who were both suspended for upwards of six months due to facial injuries.

Former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum is out for 45 days, and Vitor Belfort is sidelined for 60 days.
Aside from the list below, provided by the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA), the rest of the UFC 198 fighters received minimal 14 or 21-day rest periods.
Stipe Miocic took the title from Werdum in the night's main event. Cris “Cyborg” Justino made her promotional debut, defeating Leslie Smith. Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza cemented his position as the top middleweight challenger by toppling Brazilian countryman Vitor Belfort in the co-main event.

Leslie Smith: suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
Warlley Alves: suspended 180 days due to a facial injury, may be cleared sooner by a doctor

Yancy Medeiros: suspended 180 days due to a facial injury, may be cleared sooner by a doctor
Patrick Cummins: suspended 45 days with no contact for 30 days
Bryan Barbarena: suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days
Luan Chagas: suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days
Sergio Moraes: suspended for 30 days with no contact for 21 days
