Yahoo Sports UFC 192 Results: Joseph Benavidez Grabs Decision Over Ali Bagautinov
Joseph Benavidez defeated Ali Bagautinov with a unanimous decision on the main card of UFC 192 in Houston on Saturday.
Benavidez edged his opponent in most rounds, earning the judges’ favor with scores of 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28.

As expected, the flyweights came out working quickly, trading blows early in the opening round. Bagautinov landed a right hand that opened up a cut over Benavidez’s left eye, dripping blood as a result.
The second round included more of the same as the 125-pounders traded punches and kicks. Benavidez, however, landed a significant strike that left his opponent’s head snapping backwards midway through the frame.
The fight remained tight throughout the third round with each fighter trading strikes, but Benavidez proved to come out in front at the end.
With the win in Houston, Benavidez improves to 23-4 and is on a four-fight win streak.
