Lonzo Ball may be stealing most headlines about UCLA, but on Thursday head coach Steve Alford proved he’s still got it.

During UCLA’s practice in Memphis, Alford drilled a half court shot, the first one he took. Players didn’t looked too fazed but they clapped and Alford threw his hands up in celebration.

No one should be too surprised, of course. Alford was a star at Indiana during the ’80s and later played in the NBA. But that was 30 years ago and he’s now 52.

The Bruins will take on the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament.
