Tyler MacKenzie Commits To Merrimack
Everett Silvertips forward Tyler MacKenzie has committed to Merrimack, it was announced Tuesday.
A product of Red Deer, Alta., MacKenzie is in his overage season with the Silvertips, collecting 19 goals and 19 assists for 38 points in 24 games thus far.
Over parts of five WHL seasons, MacKenzie has played for the Silvertips and Medicine Hat Tigers, putting up 58 goals and 153 points in 221 career regular season games.
With MacKenzie joining Merrimack, he is the first player from the CHL to commit to the Warriors. A smart, highly skilled forward who has the ability to maneuver in tight areas, MacKenzie should be an immediate producer as he steps into the NCAA next fall.
