Nathan Harris’ family has a Sun Belt Conference title ring.

Harris’ college coach Ben Blackmon said via Instagram that Troy coach Neal Brown had sent Harris’ family a ring along with a note. Harris, who died in 2016, was set to be a senior at Troy in 2018.

Harris was killed in a motorcycle crash in 2016 at the age of 19 when he collided with a truck in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Harris walked on to the team in 2016 and played quarterback at Gulf Shores High School.

Troy finished the 2017 Sun Belt season with a 7-1 record and tied Appalachian State for first place in the conference. The Sun Belt didn’t have a title game a year ago and the two schools didn’t play each other so they were declared co-champions.
