Liverpool were dealt a serious blow on Saturday night when Trent Alexander-Arnold suffered a hamstring injury in the Premier League game against Aston Villa.

With matches against Real Madrid in the Champions League and Manchester City in the top flight coming up shortly after the international window, the Reds are now sweating on the fitness of one of their most important players.

The Times is reporting that Alexander-Arnold is set for a two-week absence, meaning he is touch-and-go for the Premier League game against Southampton on November 24 - two weeks on from the injury at Anfield.

The Merseyside outfit are then in action against Real on November 27 before taking on City on December 1.
