Tee times for the first two rounds of this week’s Shell Houston Open have been released. (Click here for tee times). Here’s a look at some of the notable groups.
Chris DiMarco/Josh Teater/Bud Cauley — Cauley, a PGA TOUR rookie is coming off a tie for fourth.
Michael Bradley/Ryan Palmer/Justin Leonard — The two Texas natives, A&M’s Ryan Palmer and UT’s Justin Leonard, should have a good following. Bradley went to arch-rival Oklahoma, though.
Keegan Bradley/Graeme McDowell/Lee Westwood — Two major winners in Bradley and McDowell, plus the world No. 3 in Westwood, made this a high-powered group.
Hunter Mahan/Johnson Wagner/Steve Stricker — All three are already winners in 2012 and Wagner regained the FedExCup lead with a tie for fourth last week.
Jamie Lovemark/Seung-yul Noh/Danny Lee — This is an international group of young guns with Lovemark from the U.S., Noh from Korea and Lee a Korean turned Kiwi.
Phil Mickelson/Charl Schwartzel/Fred Couples — Mickelson is the defending champion, Schwartzel is one week from his defense at Augusta National and Couples won on the Champions Tour Sunday.
Kyle Stanley/Anthony Kim/Ernie Els — Stanley and Kim are fine young players but all eyes will be on the veteran Els as he has one last chance to punch his ticket to Augusta National.
Now it’s your turn. Which groups are you most interested in following?
