Clark birdies No. 11
Tim Clark hits his 160-yard approach shot to 3 inches on the par-4 11th hole and taps in for birdie.
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Tim Clark just missed holing a shot from 160 yards out in the 11th fairway. Not to worry, though. The resulting 3-inch putt for birdie was enough to give him sole possession of the lead at the Wyndham Championship.
Clark is now 13 under and one stroke ahead of Jason Dufner, Harris English, Sergio Garcia, Carl Pettersson and defending champ Webb Simpson.
Dufner is the only one of the group who has finished, making a 35-footer for birdie and a 63 at the 18th hole. He could take over the lead in the FedExCup with a win and join the current No. 1 as the only players on TOUR with three wins this season.
Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III, a two-time winner of the Wyndham Championship, heads the group at 11 under. Also at that number is overnight leader Jimmy Walker, Troy Mattesson and Bill Haas.
